PELVIC FLOOR ESSENTIALS

Free guide for Pilates Instructors

You're a Pilates instructor

And you love working with postnatal clients.
But the pelvic floor?
That still feels like a bit of a minefield.

Some clients leak.
Some clients grip.
Some say they “can’t feel anything down there”.

And all of them have been told to “just do Kegels”… even when Kegels aren’t the thing they actually need.

You’ve probably wondered:

  • Is this a weak pelvic floor?

  • Or a tight one pretending to be weak?

  • Should I be cueing a lift… or a release?

  • Am I about to make this worse?

Totally normal.
Your qualification didn’t teach you any of this properly.

So I made you a guide that does.

In this free guide, you will learn:

  • ✅ The real difference between hypertonic and hypotonic pelvic floors

  • ✅ How to spot the key signs without awkward questioning

  • ✅ The 3 pelvic floor cues that actually work with real humans

  • ✅ What not to do with clients who grip or leak

  • ✅ When to keep going… and when to refer to a Women’s Health Physio

You’ll walk away feeling clearer, calmer and a hell of a lot more confident.

MEET ALICE

Hi! I'm Alice Johnstone, The Postnatal Pilates Coach.

I founded Your Time Pilates in 2018 because the postnatal care women receive after childbirth is honestly nowhere near good enough. After having my two children and navigating IVF, C-sections and a pretty hellish recovery, I realised mums like me were being completely let down. So I made it my mission to change that.

I’ve since helped hundreds of women rebuild their core strength and confidence, and I’ve trained Pilates instructors all over the world to do the same. My Postnatal Core Rehab Method has supported mums recovering from difficult births, C-sections, Diastasis Recti, pelvic floor dysfunction and more.

But I wasn’t always confident. I used to feel exactly how you probably feel now — unsure, overwhelmed and terrified of getting it wrong. The pelvic floor used to confuse the life out of me too… until I finally learnt how to understand it properly and teach it in a way that actually worked for real clients.

That’s why I created this free guide. A simple, clear resource to help you feel confident teaching the pelvic floor without guessing or panicking.
